The bathroom on Östermalm is tiled throughout in a warm grey, large-format stone-look tile, laid with minimal grout lines so the surface reads as one continuous material.
The basin is a free-standing bowl on a wall-hung vanity in dark timber, with a mirror cabinet and indirect light in a continuous niche above the counter.
The shower has two recessed niches, each separately lit, alongside a rain head and a hand shower on the same mixer.
The fittings are kept black and matt against the stone, a restrained contrast that gives the small room its weight.
The project is a bathroom renovation in Östermalm, carried out by Unikum Bygg in 2026. We carry out bathroom renovations across Stockholm, with a single point of responsibility from demolition to final inspection and licensed tradespeople for electrics, plumbing and tiling.
