Detail and material selection
We understand the importance of detail, of exclusivity and, for most, of simplicity. We work closely with select suppliers across every field your renovation requires, so you can tailor every material choice and benefit from the preferred rates and terms we hold with them.
Capacity and experience
We are a close-knit team with long experience and every certification required, including for an extensive bathroom renovation. We always keep the client at the centre, and make sure that you, as the commissioning party, are satisfied with the quality of the work.
Close dialogue
We work closely with our clients throughout the process. The communication between us is decisive for how the project unfolds, which is why we prioritise it from the first home visit to the final inspection.

What we do
We take on four kinds of commission, from a single room to an entire home. What they share is close dialogue from the first home visit to the final inspection.
Bathroom renovation
From demolition to final inspection, with a licensed electrician, plumber, carpenter and tiler. Bathrooms are where we have a particular sensibility.
Kitchen renovation
Hundreds of completed kitchens, from new fronts and worktops to kitchens rebuilt from the ground up, within the agreed timeline and at the agreed price.
Apartment renovation
Whole apartments as turnkey contracts with no middlemen, where plumbing, electrics and finishes are handled with the same precision in every room.
Turnkey contracting
A single point of responsibility for planning, coordination, the working environment and execution, with one contact person throughout the project.
One responsibility
Hire several tradespeople yourself and the responsibility for coordinating them, and for a safe working environment under the Swedish Work Environment Authority's requirements, falls to you as the client. With Unikum Bygg as turnkey contractor, that responsibility is ours.
Our own team carries out most of the work. When we bring in an outside partner, we hold them to the same standards of training and certification as ourselves. You have one contact person throughout the project, and we document the renovation so you feel secure long after the work is done.
The homes we work in
Most of the projects on this site are in central Stockholm, in Vasastan, Östermalm, Kungsholmen and Södermalm. On Vikingagatan in Vasastan we have renovated two turn-of-the-century apartments where the stucco, ceiling heights and enfilade were allowed to lead, and on Kungsholmen an apartment where the kitchen, bathroom and hallway were rebuilt from the ground up.
We also work in houses and townhouses, such as a townhouse of around 130 square metres in Djursholm and the entrance floor of a house in Ålsten, and in commercial spaces, such as a new sauna for Nordic Wellness in Södertälje. A selection of the work is gathered under Projects.
How it works
Every project begins with a home visit and closes with a final inspection. In between, a designer goes through design and materials with you when needed, you approve a clear cost proposal, we agree on a start date and a timeline, and you meet the project manager before our craftsmen take over.
As a private individual you can use the ROT deduction, which in 2026 is 30 percent of the labour cost, up to SEK 50,000 per person per year. We always provide a guarantee on the work we carry out.
